Our spaces
The Environment as the Third Educator
The spaces are designed to welcome, inspire and promote wellbeing. Each environment is designed to foster independence, social interaction and curiosity. The spaces are not merely physical spaces, but genuine learning environments that help children feel part of the school community.
Classrooms
The classrooms are flexible spaces, designed to support active and collaborative learning. The spaces can be adapted to suit the group’s needs: movable tables, accessible resources, and dedicated areas for reading, scientific research or independent study.
Green space and garden
Gardens are a valuable part of school life. Here, children observe nature, experiment, build shelters, look after plants and enjoy moments of play and physical activity. The outdoor space is an integral part of Outdoor Education.
Educational vegetable garden
The small vegetable garden is an open-air workshop. The children grow plants, watch them grow, learn about the cycles of nature and develop a practical understanding of sustainability. It is a place where they learn with their hands and their hearts.
Workshops
Music workshop
Music, the ultimate form of expression, accompanies children’s development: rhythm, listening, expression and collaboration. In the music workshop, children explore different instruments and learn to use their voices harmoniously.
Science laboratory
The science laboratory enables pupils to observe natural phenomena, carry out experiments and collect data. It is a place where curiosity becomes a method, and scientific research comes to life through hands-on experiences. It shares the space with the art studio to ensure that children can arrive at solutions and make discoveries by using different forms of expression in a collaborative way.
Art workshop
The art workshop is a space dedicated to creativity in all its imaginative, expressive and cognitive power. Here, children experiment with different materials, expressive techniques and artistic languages, gaining experiences that enrich projects in other subjects across the board. It is an environment that values personal expression and the freedom to create. Bringing together the languages of art and scientific research is one of the objectives promoted by our school.
Library
The library is a quiet and welcoming space, full of books suitable for all ages in the main languages spoken at the school. It is a place that pupils visit in small groups to collect books to share in class. The pupils see it as a space for research, listening and imagination. Small class libraries have been set up in every classroom.
Dining Hall
Lunch at school is an educational experience.
It is a time when children and young people can enjoy a moment just for themselves, to eat healthily, without rushing, and to gradually become more aware of what it means to eat well.
The teachers help the children to manage their time at mealtimes, helping them to become increasingly independent. Daily rota duties have been established for clearing their own tables.
The portions are handed out to the pupils by someone trained for this role, who becomes part of school life and ensures continuity in relationships.
