Cambridge certifications
Cambridge English Qualifications
Cambridge English Qualifications are the University of Cambridge’s internationally recognised English language qualifications.
They are categorised by level and age, and aligned with the levels of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). They provide families and students with a true picture of the linguistic progress made.
The curriculum at the English Primary School
Preparation for certification is integrated into the school timetable, with progressive pathways tailored to age and level, as part of the communication activities that are already part of everyday teaching.
Students complete four stages, one per year:
- Starters — Year 2
- Movers — Year 3
- Flyers — Year 4
- A2 Key (KET) — Year 5
Each stage marks a tangible step forward: the children see their confidence in using the language grow, as certified by an organisation recognised worldwide.
