Teaching team

Our nursery teachers are attentive, inquisitive and constantly developing professionals.
They are familiar with the stages of child development and hone their ability to observe them, including through the Brazelton approach, which helps them to interpret the behaviours and cues of each child as they grow.
The team, led by the educational coordinator, shares observations and planning, and works with the children every day to create opportunities for exploration, interaction and discovery.
In bilingual programmes, English teachers work alongside Italian-speaking teachers and communicate with the children in English, enabling them to encounter the language naturally through their daily interactions and experiences.
A highly experienced educationalist is leading a further initiative to provide supervision for the educational team. Supervision offers the team a space to reflect on their experiences, question their own decisions and refine their understanding of the children and the relationships within the group.
Why we invest in training
The quality of the educational experience depends to a large extent on the competence and professional development of those who work with children on a daily basis. For this reason, training is not a one-off event, but rather an ongoing process that supports the work of educators over time.
Training, supervision and discussion help the team to:
- to develop educational and teaching skills;
- to observe and gain an ever-better understanding of children’s needs;
- to reflect on the design and the proposed experiences;
- to engage with new knowledge and perspectives;
- to strengthen teamwork and a shared educational culture.
Training is therefore an integral part of our educational programme and helps to maintain the quality of work in schools over time.

Becoming Academy
Becoming Academy is the continuing professional development programme for educators and teachers at Becoming Education schools.
It is a physical and digital space for training, research, discussion and exchange. The educators at Giocomotiva take part in training courses, meetings with educationalists, researchers and experts, and opportunities to exchange views with professionals from other schools in the network.
The Academy brings together research, experience and educational practice, promoting lifelong learning throughout one’s career.
