Nature is a valuable learning environment. Going outdoors is a right that children have, and for us it is an integral part of our educational programme.<\/p>\n

Every day, we seek to facilitate interactions between the children and the outdoor environment<\/strong>. Outdoors, they can explore the world through their bodies and all their senses, observe changes, make discoveries and encounter new situations.<\/p>\n

A way of experiencing school<\/h3>\n

At Giocomotiva, as in all Becoming Education schools, Outdoor Education is a way of experiencing school<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Many of our centres have their own gardens or courtyards<\/strong> \u2013 outdoor spaces that become everyday places for play, exploration and discovery. And then there\u2019s the world around us: the park, the market, the library, the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

Exploring these places with the children means enabling them to get to know them, experience them and gradually feel part of the local area around them.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”100px”][vc_column_text el_class=”no-margin-bottom container-smile-absolute”]\n

Why Outdoor Education is so important<\/h2>\n

They challenge their bodies, build confidence in their own abilities and gradually learn to assess risk and recognise their own limits<\/strong>. A stone, a shell, a twig or a leaf can become the starting point for questions, exploration and new discoveries.<\/p>\n
